Come see me set up for a wedding under a tent. I go through every step of the process in this video.
First, I put down some protective pads under my speakers and then rethink where I should actually place them. I go through this thought process every time, so it really wasn’t weird speaking out loud, especially since no one else was here yet.
It was a hot day and those fans did little to keep me cool. Fortunately, the opened up the tent and it cooled down as the day went on,

My main rig goes on an Ultimate Support Keyboard Stand. I use a shelf for my external mixer and other auxiliary items. My Denon Prime 4 + DJ controller sits right on top.
I have found that I can get better audio for my recordings when I plug into the mix out of the speaker. That is one improvement I’ve made since recording this video.
One of my favourite tools is the cable reels that I use. I highly recommend getting a few to store all your XLR cables.
I managed to run for 6 hours on my Anker Solix battery pack. It might have lasted the whole night but I didn’t want to risk it and plugged it in for the last hour of this wedding. just to be safe.
Using mats to cover up wires for safety is great since you can’t use gaffer tape in an outdoor spot like this.
The last step is cleaning up wires and then packing away my cases.
I hope you enjoyed this walk through my set-up.
