Ending a Great Wedding (and packing up afterwards)

This wedding was a lot of fun.

When it was time to close out the night, the bride came over and told me I did an awesome job.

Then the crowd chanted “One more song! One more song!”

I had a sure-fire sing-along track loaded and ready, just in case. And it went off. They ended the night with a group sing-along.

And I did something I’d never done before. I let my 360 camera keep recording as I packed up my gear.

Watch the end of this wedding night on YouTube or with the player below.

This is the part of DJing a gig that many people never see. I’m usually the last person to leave, other than some clean-up crew.

I have mats that cover up wires, uplights around the room, speaker cables to coil up, speakers to pack up and put back into their cases, and lots more to do.

I show you the pack-up process in fast-forward motion. You can see that many of the guests and bridal party continue to hang out while I maneuvee my cart around them. And the video closes with me putting the lens cap on the camera.
