This is a great way to kick off the dancing portion of a wedding.

After dinner and the special dances have concluded, get all of your guests to come to the dance floor. Announce that there will be a group picture being taken.

As soon as the photographer has the shot, start the music. It’s likely the only part of the night everyone will be on the dance floor together, but it does start things off on a good note.

I like to play a cross-generational hit to kick things off. Dancing Queen by Abba is a good choice, but so is I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston.

At this wedding, they wanted a new country hit to spark things off. Happen to Me by Russell Dickerson is now in my crowd pleaser crate. It has been a hit this year for lots of different events.
