Last month, I had the honour of spinning with some amazing DJs at a private scratch session.

Here I am with DJ T-jr, and Gamma Krush.

And the man in the blue shirt, our gracious host, was non other than the DMC World Champion, DJ Vekked.

We all rocked vinyl battle records and scratched for hours.

Gotta love the champ’s shirt, “Real DJs talk with their hands.”

There are DJ communities that regularly hold these type of scratch sessions. It was the first one I ever attended, but it definitely won’t be the last.

I am still in awe of what he did in this video and the fact that I got to kick it with him live for an afternoon and see him work his turntable magic in person.
