Never Ever Forget Me Music & Artisan Festival (This Weekend)

Deshkan Ziibiing (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation), in collaboration with Music Tourism and the Western Fair District, is proud to welcome over 45 exhibitors including craft and artist vendors, food vendors and organizations to the first Gawii Wiikaa Ga-Nendimisii (Never Ever Forget Me) Music and Artisan Festival, taking place November 18 through 20, 2022.

The Artist market portion of the event will be open to everyone (subject to capacity), by voluntary donation. All proceeds from the concert and market will go toward saving the remaining structure of the Mount Elgin Indian Industrial School barn, where children inscribed messages on the walls and foundation, to create the Mount Elgin Museum and Interpretive Center.

The market will feature a wide range of vendors and artists. Among the many exhibitors, disciplines will include handmade crafts, repurposed copper, wood bowls, utensils , handmade clothing, jewelry, beadwork, sculptures, paintings and unique Indigenous food vendors.

Market Hours: November 18, 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, November 19 and 20, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm

There are also three afternoons of great music!

Sunshyne will be performing a Hip Hop set at 4:30 pm on Sunday alongside DJ Chase March and local emcee Typo.

DJ Shub is the headliner on Sunday and it is an honour to be one of the local opening acts to warm up that stage.

Tickets can be purchased individual days or for the entire weekend.
