A Night to Remember – Sarnia Hip Hop DJ Set

I DJed “A Night to Remember” in Sarnia last month and I was very excited to hold down the ones and twos and share it with you. There were some great performances and I made a dope opening mixset.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a clear recording of the audio. For some reason, the signal came out muddy and garbled. But I did get some great video and tried to figure out a way to continue my “On the Road” series with it.

At first, I thought I could just use the camera audio, but it wasn’t up to my standards to share it that way. So, I loaded that audio into my DAW, and placed the tracks I played underneath it. I lined them up the best I could, applied some simple crossfading and salvaged a small part of the night for you.

I wanted to play these tracks on the radio. And I did. It aired Thursday night.

You will see the parts in the video that show me using stems and other transitions that I couldn’t pull off in my recreation here. But it is still a good show with some good tunes and a commentary at the end.
