This heat wave is crushing me.

Normally I don’t complain about the weather. After all, there is nothing that we can really do about it. But this hot, sticky, humid, hazy weather we have been having all week needs to go away.

I can’t stand this! It is hard to do anything when it is this hot. My energy seems to be slipping away. I hope that it is just the heat that is making me feel this way. I would hate to be coming down with something.

I don’t have air conditioning in the car or at home. I have one fan that oscillates and I open all the windows. I have ice cream and freezies and cold drinks. I go outside and read in the shade. But none of these things are proving to battle this heat effectively.

I can usually cope with the heat for a short period of time. Heat waves are to be expected and while I find them uncomfortable, I can’t remember the last time I had such a difficult time in one. Perhaps it is because I am still feeling a little bit strange and recovering from my surgery. I don’t know. All I know is that I hope that we get a great big huge thunderstorm soon. It needs to cool down and gives us some more reasonable and comfortable temperatures.
