As far as binge-reading goes, this one wasn’t nearly as involved as my last few deep dives in to Green Lantern comics. This one spans 12 issues of the title plus a three-issue mini-series.

• The Green Lantern: Volume 1 – Intergalactic Lawman
• The Green Lantern: Volume 2 – The Day The Stars Fell
• Green Lantern Blackstars

Since the last volume concluded an epic storyline, the new creative team decided to try a brand new take on the character. It gets a little strange, however. The story feels entirely alien, which should be a good thing for a book about the space police, but it never truly hits a stride. There were a few great highlights, that I won’t diverge here (spoiler-free review). But I will say, I didn’t enjoy this one nearly as much as I did the last three volumes. So, at the end of the story, when they teased a Season 2, I didn’t feel the need to jump into it and instead, dived into the new Hulk series.
