The Thames Valley Trail is a 110-km hiking trail along the Thames River Valley through London to St Marys, Ontario. The southern end of the trail links up with the Elgin Hiking Trail in Payne’s Mills. The northern end of the Thames Valley Trail connects with the Avon Trail in St. Marys.
I started this run at the entrance off of Highway 7.
A portion of this trail runs alongside a few area farms.
But the Thames River is almost always in sight.
The trail was overgrown in a few parts and narrow. It also didn’t seem to loop up at all. It was straight there and straight back.
But this rest station about halfway through my 8 kilometer run was quite nice!
