Still Thankful

It can be hard to remain positive and upbeat in the current climate. There are so many things wrong with the world and it feels like there is no way to combat some of the ills of society. But if you keep a smile on your face and stay grateful, you can accomplish a lot. It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and it’s a great time to pause and reflect.

I know that I have a lot to be thankful for, including this holiday. It may not have the cleanest history but we can still embrace it and make it better. If you choose not to celebrate, I respect your view. But having quality family time and a nice dinner is something everyone should be able to enjoy. Taking stock and giving thanks is something we all should do on a regular basis. Sometimes we need holidays like this or others to actually do so though.

I am not going to list the things I am thankful for here this year. I’m keeping it closer to my heart. If you know me, you probably can guess what they are. It’s a long list.

I’m going to reach out to a few people online and let them know I appreciate them and am thankful that they are in my life. It can be easy enough to just scroll by or click like when on social media. Typing a little note is the least we can do this weekend. It’s all about connection.

Stay thankful, y’all!
