This Saturday, we are celebrating hip-hop’s birthday with 24 hours of programming on Radio Western. It’s our second annual Word Up! spectacular and I wanted to do something special for it. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now.

I love trivia and game shows and thought it would be amazing to host my own show. It’s a little scary attempting this on campus radio. I will be relying on people to call in and play.

It’s hard to do a game show without participants. So, mark your calendars and make sure you tune in. If you are in the London, Ontario area, you can stop by the station to show and prove your hip-hop knowledge. If not, you can call or text in your answers.

This is going to be a lot of fun.

And remember you can tune in all day for great hip-hop music, interviews, special guest DJ sets, and much more. Here is the schedule for the day.

I am really excited to be part of this and I will be featured twice. First, you can hear me at 9:30 a.m. as I talk to Midus to help clear up the misconceptions about breakdancing. If you are really into trivia, you can try to identify all the records I spin in the background as we talk.

Then at 11:00 a.m., I hit you with some trivia and fun games to test your hip-hop smarts. This will be live and interactive. Please call in to help make this show as success.
