Today is Stacy’s birthday. I was hoping that I would be celebrating it with her. Instead, I am feeling a familiar pang of heartbreak. I really thought she was the one.

I watched a movie on DVD the other day, and one of the characters said a line that has really stuck with me. The character was talking to an ex, she walked away, and then turned back to him and said, “You will always be my favourite ex-boyfriend.”
