Looking Back to Last October

At the start of every month, I like to take some time to dig through the archive and see what happened last year at this time. October 2020 had a lot of great things going for it, even during a world-wide pandemic.

Alphabet Soup – New Hip Hop Headucatorz Song

October 5th is World Teachers Day and we celebrate it every year by releasing new music. The Hip Hop Headucators are a collective of teachers who practice all the elements of hip-hop culture. We are working on a full length album with bonus lesson plans and resources too. Our new video drops on Tuesday, but in the meantime, you can watch this one and the first three songs we released too.

How to Talk to Kids

This is my review of the great book, How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. It is chock-full of advice and practical tips you can utilize right way. It might take a bit of practice, but it is worth it to build great rapport with children. This is a great read for teachers and parrent.

This is a show that every teacher should watch. It is absolutely brilliant. If you are not a fan of foreign programs, give it a chance. Don’t multi-task so you can read the subtitles. It is worth it. Such a great show!

Arrested Development Interview

Arrested Development are an iconic, award-winning hip-hop group that have been active since the 1990s. With over a dozen albums in their catalogue, and no signs of slowing down, they consistently make great music that keeps your head nodding without dumbing down their message. It was a honour to interview them.
