I Learned Something From a Comic (Again)
“How come boys have buttons on one side and girls have buttons on the other side?”
What a great question.
I’ve often wondered why this is so as well. Although, I’d never considered researching it myself. Who knew that I’d finally discover that answer while reading a comic book?
It seems you really do learn something every day.
I think we are so far removed from previous eras that I find it difficult to imagine having someone else help me to get dressed. I also can’t imagine carrying a weapon of any kind with me. It makes me thankfully that I live in this day and age.
Hi Chase .. love the comic and the teaching – so often we don't these whys – loved knowing that – and makes obvious sense!
Re the clothes .. another thing we forget – all the paraphernalia they wore .. let alone the sword or weapon they had to carry.
It does seem an excellent series .. especially as you're learning so much – including tailoring and proposals ..
We often don't realise we're being taught things by looking at art – do we! Have a great Sunday .. Hilary
Hi Hilary,
Art is pretty powerful isn't it?
People sometimes think comics are mindless dribble. However, comics are a lot like films. Some are good and some are bad. But they can be powerfully written, stylish, and a great way to spend an afternoon.
I hope you have a great Sunday too! Thanks!
