Hip Hop Headucatorz Teach Math (Music – Video – Resources)

I’m so proud of this project. We worked on it a long time to bring Hip Hop into the classroom. This multimedia project will help you teach mathematics in a fun and engaging way.

The Math Album by Hip Hop Headucatorz helps students learn all about the four basic operations of mathematics. Seven songs teach the concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the importance of learning how numbers work together. Each song is accompanied with a music video to bring the lyrics to life. The teacher resource book is chopped full of ready-to-use activities for the classroom with worksheets that can be photocopied for students. The activities vary in difficulty and are designed by teachers for students in Grades 1-6.

The videos are free to watch on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@hiphopheaducatorz and a free lesson can be found on Teachers Pay Teachers.

The full 80-page teacher resource and album can be purchased on Bandcamp and Teachers Pay Teachers.

The first song comes with a free sample of the document so you can try it out before you buy it.

Here is one of the music videos for you to check out. In this song we teach about the importance of learning your times tables. how multiplication is quicker than repeated addition, a few easy tricks students can use, and the importance of place value.
