It’s 2021! Man, that sounds strange to say. This was not something I even could imagine when I was a kid. The year 2000 seemed so far away and futuristic.  I thought by now we would have personal robots, flying skateboards, and jetpacks. Alas, we have none of these things. But we have each other, great music, the written word in books, blogs, and comics, amazing TV shows and movies, and regular skateboards. We have a lot to celebrate, even if we don’t think so.

2020 had its share of challenges and it tested us in ways we never would have imagined. But we got through it and proved nothing can stop us.

Here’s to a year of getting things accomplished. Forget the resolutions; do something this week that you’ve wanted to do for a while. Tick things off your list. Have fun, show those around you the love they deserve. And repeat this every week.

This week, I plan to get a new episode of Word is Bond Rap Radio produced, organize some DJ crates, go for a few runs, finish reading one of the books I started last week, blog about it, and continue reading the other book I have on the go. Plus, lots of playing with my toddler. It’s going to be a great start to the year. It started out great last night with a new episode of Star Trek Discovery and continues tonight with the return on Doctor Who. I can’t wait!
