What exactly is adult cereal?

As I walked down the aisle, I got more confused.

What makes a brand of cereal, “Family Cereal”?

Is it wrong that I eat many of the “Kid’s Cereal” brands too? I felt compelled to move many of those boxes over to the adult section just so I could feel justified and comfortable consuming them.

Walking further down the aisle, “Family Cereal” makes a comeback. There must have been some reason for the store clerks to separate these boxes, but I can’t tell what criteria they used.

Definitely the strangest cereal aisle I have ever encountered.
