Bridal Veil Falls is located in a small village on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada.
I spent some time on the island last week and wanted to find a few interesting places to run. This definitely fit the bill.
Here you can see the Kagawong River which flows from Lake Kagawong to the North Channel of Lake Huron.
I crossed this bridge and found a narrow trail on the other side.
There were parts of the trail that we hard to navigate so after running a little ways down it, I headed back to the bridge and the main trail.
Fairy houses are hidden along the route.
I’m sure kids would delight in trying to find them all. I was determined to get a good run in so I didn’t look all that closely and only found two.
There were a few art installations along the way too.
This theatre-in-the-woods looks really cool. It would be nice to catch a performance here of a play or a band.
Bridal Veil Falls is beautiful. It is roughly 35 feet (11 m) in height and offers a nice little swim hole at the bottom. You can get a 5 kilometer run in here if you don’t mind repeating certain sections of the trail.
All in all, I had a great run here. But it wouldn’t be my only new trail to try while on the island. Stay tuned for another photographic tour soon.
