I Got An Article in the Newspaper

This is the first article I’ve had in print since the old days when I wrote for the university paper. I was so excited to be able to interview World Figure Skating Champions and Olympic Gold Medal winners Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.

It was equally exciting to see my name in print. I just had to share this with all of you. Anyone in the London area can pick up a copy of the paper for free. There are newspaper boxes downtown and it is also available at the public library.

If you want to listen to the interview I did with the pair, you can download it for free, or stream it with the player below. We’ve been celebrating Canadian Athletes here on this blog. You can read all those articles and hear those interviews here.

If you cannot see the audio controls, listen/download the audio file here

  1. Hi Braveheart,

I certainly am going to try to get in the paper again. I actually sent them two articles and they only ran one. I'm hoping that they will run the second one this week.

If I get more published, I will definitely share it here as well.

This was really exciting for me. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it!

  2. Hi Chase .. great & congratulations .. that's wonderful news .. and definitely a feather in your cap – good for you ..

I commented on the previous post on Scott and Moir ..

"that's a great interview and to see how down to earth they are .. even though they skate on ice??!!

Actually no – to get the World Figure Skating games to London, Canada .. is quite some achievement for your part of the world .. good for everyone ..

I loved the idea of putting on their old routines by the local skaters .. great pageant .."

PS good contacts for the World Figure Skating Games ..

  3. Hi Hilary,

I often get asked if I've interviewed anyone famous. By which people actually mean someone they know and admire. I'm going to have to point them to this interview now.
