30 Day Song Challenge

TumbleFrog, the tumblr for Samurai Frog has challenged us to a thirty-day song challenge. I have decided to tackle this project so I will be posting a song each day for the next 30 days.

Never fear though, I will continue to run regular blog posts as well. At the end of the 30 days, I will post a list of all the song choices.

It was quite fun putting this list together. Some of the categories were a bit more difficult than others.

Well, without further ado, let’s start the 30 Day Song Challenge.

Day 01 – Your favorite song

It’s Tricky by Run-DMC from the album Raising Hell

Go to the Day 2 song.

  1. Hi Ela,

It was a challenge coming up with some of the songs on this list and some of the categories made me think of a few different songs. I wonder if it's cheating to put up two songs for one of the days. Hmmm.

Anyway, thanks for listening and commenting. It should be fun.

  2. Hi Ela,

I seem to be getting a lot of those spam comments lately. I delete them as soon as I see them if they aren't related to the topic of the post.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should put comment moderation back on.

  3. I don't get a lot because I dont' get a lot of traffic in the first place, but moderation makes sense. Most people do have id.

  4. Hmmm…

My favourite song would have to be "Travelling Riverside Blues" by Led Zeppelin. This is the song that first got me hooked on them, even though I'm about 2 generations removed from their era.

I found this to be a hard challenge because I have many favourites for many different reasons. I could go on about this topic forever!

  5. Hi Ela,

I really don't want to put the comment moderation on. I like when the comments show up right away. I think I will just wait and see if deleting them right away will scare these spammers away.

    Hi Elle,

I have a lot of favourite songs too but this really was no contest. Run-DMC wins hands down.

  6. You are right. Some people just want to say something and stay anonymous.
by the way it's ela this time.
I'm just checking if it works when I'm logged in and still want to be anonymous identity.

  7. Hi Anonymous Ela,

    That was funny.

I get spam comments every day now. Some of them are on posts from quite some time ago too.

To tell you the truth, I much prefer when commenters aren't afraid to put a name down even if it is generic or not a real name.

I like being able to make connections with my readers. I know of at least one anonymous commenter who comments often. The problem there is that I don't know when "anonymous" is her or not.
