Trouble with Falling

I couldn’t see it coming,
the hole I fell through.

Four years ago
everything was a high.
It felt like I was floating
but it soon crashed down.

Since then, I’ve been looking around.
I need another hole to fall through.
This will be much harder.
I know it to be true
It’s so easy to fall in love
Why is it so hard to
fall
out
of
it
?

  1. Know what the Spirits said to me when I read this lovely poem? They said it was time for you to fall in love with yourself. I guess that’s because when you truly fall in love with yourself you become a magnet for the nourishing kind of love, and this time the right person will appear for you to fall in love with.

I like that…a “love magnet”…we should all aspire to this, I think. What a wonderful way to live!

Sending many faery xoxo to you today!

  2. Thanks for your kind words.

My poem wasn’t about finding love, although I think I am now ready for that.

I was trying to illustrate how hard it is to fall out of love. My last realtionship didn’t end well and it is over for good. I know that. The problem is that I still love her. It hurts my heart a bit to keep feeling this way.

  3. I know. That’s why the Spirits said what they did. The way to fall out of love is to fall in love with yourself. Falling in love with yourself is then the only way to go on to find another person who is a better match for you than the one you are stuck on now. So falling in love with yourself actually tackles both issues. It’s like this…

Question: How do I fall out of love with someone who doesn’t love me?
Answer: Fall in love with yourself.

Question: How do I find my soulmate, someone who is a better match for me in a love relationship?
Answer: You can’t find that special person until you learn how to fall in love with yourself.

    Neat, yes?

Sending a little pink faery dust your way today too. Here it comes…~*.~*.~*.~*.~*.!!!

  4. If it is real love that you had for Her, then of course it continues, in spite of present circumstances.

You loved truly and so you will love always. Shame that She has chosen to reject it.

  5. someone worth loving is worth loving forever even if they will never again be a part of one’s own life

having touched your life heart mind and experience they will forever be a part of you
to have known such is a treasure

I hope I never fall out of love with all the men I have truly loved

  6. Kat: you’re right. I guess I shouldn’t wish to fall out of love with her. It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Right?

    Thanks.

  7. yes it is
and more people than not do find and have a life’s partner
    it is the norm
I see many such celebrations at my restaurant, it is a special place and I am honored to share with them their special time….esp since I am not the norm…unmarried and likely to remain so
I loved and lost and lost
but that is more my fault than anyone else’s and if an opportunity to love comes again I will take it and risk the hurt if it is not to be
