Energy Depletion

I could feel myself starting to get sick earlier in the week. I tried to slow things down a bit and take care of myself but it didn’t seem to help. I’m sick. I took a day off of work on Tuesday just to recover from not feeling well. I spent the whole day either on the couch or in bed. I drank lots of orange juice and did nothing all day long. I did the same thing after work yesterday too. I still don’t feel quite up to par.

My head has hurt since Monday night. I don’t’ know what this is. I think it is just a regular cold but it is draining all of my energy. I guess the timing of it is okay since it is Easter Weekend starting this afternoon, which will give me time to take it easy this weekend as well. Hopefully I will be back to my usual energetic self by Tuesday.

This is the first thing I have written since Monday night. I think I need to take a break though to recover. I really want to get back to my novel, but it will have to wait. I need to take care of myself first.

Chase March signing off, feeling like about 70% of his usual self.

  1. I know what you mean. It’s hard to do anything when you’re sick. I like to write when I’m energized, and bouncy. Then the words don’t come out so morose. S

  2. Thanks for the comments. I think that slowing down in this day and age is a hard thing for most of us to do. It is important though, especially when you are sick. You need to take some days just to recharge. I am not completely over my cold but I feel a lot better after a long weekend off.
