My Top 5 Hip-Hop Podcasts

In honour of National Podcast Day, I thought I would share with you my favourite hip-hop podcasts.

1. Break North Radio

DJ Hullewud starts off every show with a classic record that has been sampled by several notable hip-hop acts. He spins great underground hip-hop for the first hour of the show, and then gets into about thirty minutes of tracks that sampled the first song. It’s my favourite show and required listening.

You can catch him live on the radio Saturday nights on 94.9 CHRW or catch the podcast the next day on his Mixcloud page.

2. The Real Hip Hop Show

DJ Modesty brings you  the best in underground and independent hip-hop. He plays classic boom bap flavoured joints, tracks from the golden years, and even has artist interviews. This show never disappoints.

3. No Ideas Original Radio Show

DJ Enyoutee delivers great music, has artists interviews, and represents that real hip-hop.

4. Gee-O Podcast

Gee-O spins great hip-hop tunes and updates his Mixcloud often.

Live from Echo Base Podcast

I don’t have a lot of info to share about this one. But I know that I enjoy listening to it and I think you will too.
