Access: Amerigo Gazaway

Amerigo Gazaway is our special guest for the latest edition of Access. It is our special way of expanding a live radio interview into the realm of video and offering fans some behind the scene footage and conversation.

Amerigo Gazaway is an incredible artist who has dropped some classic projects. His specialty is creating cohesive projects between artists who never had the chance to work together.

He calls it the “Soul Mates” series, and it moves way beyond mash-ups. He doesn’t simply take an instrumental and throw an accapella over it. He reconstruct beats, layers sounds on top of each other, and makes sure that it sounds like something both artists would have released.

If you haven’t heard of this guy, do yourself a favour and click play on the video above. Then go to his bandcamp page and download all of the goodness!

Access Interview Archive – over a dozen great in-depth interviews from hip-hop’s finest!

Access: DJ Z of DJ Booth

DJ Z has a really interesting history, from being a campus radio DJ, to working in commercial radio, to helping build DJ Booth into one of the premiere music spaces on the Internet.

We caught up with him for one of our special Access segments on 91.5 WPRK in Winterpark, Florida. And through the wonders of modern technology, DJ Z is able to join us from Chicago, and I can jump on the program from my home in London, Ontario.

Press play to be educated an entertained. Anyone who writes a blog, does a radio show, or is trying to promote music can learn from his experiences. This is real talk!

Access Interviews – Live Hip-Hop Radio Archive

Access Title Card

Access is a special segment of Our Show on 91.5 WPRK in Winterpark, Florida.

It’s live and interactive radio where we interview all sorts of hip-hop artists and interesting people in the music business.

And through the power of the Internet, I am able to be on the show quite regularly without ever having to leave the country. I’m repping Canada on the American radio waves when Conshus and I tag team interviews. It’s always a lot of fun.

This page will serve as the archive of the shows we do this year. Please bookmark it and come back often.

We run live video before we actually get started on the radio waves so the start of the videos may seem a little disorganized, but stick with them and you will hear real conversations based around hip-hip music and culture.
